Nearly six million students are enrolled in online college courses today. While this format has made education more accessible, there’s been some debate over whether students receive the same quality education online that they would in a traditional face-to-face setting. iGen, also referred to as Generation Z, are born between 1995 and 2012. This generation has never known a world without the Internet and barely remembers a time before smartphones. iGen learners consume information through different channels; meaning, they are less likely to read and are more challenging to reach with traditional teaching methods.
