RIVERTON MIDDLE SCHOOL SUPPORTS CORE AND MORE WITH DIRECT INSTRUCTION





Riverton Middle School serves approximately 2,500 students from the Riverton, Wyoming area. Academically, low reading scores were the norm and special education was the only remediation option. Searching for an alternative to address their Response to Intervention (RTI) cases outside of special education, Riverton implemented SRA Corrective Reading and SRA Read to Achieve.

STUDENT SUCCESS AT JOHN R. KMENT ELEMENTARY






There was no shortage of reasons for why students at John R. Kment Elementary School had low achievement scores in mathematics. Over 76 percent of the students were from economically disadvantaged households. Classroom size had ballooned to over 30 students. The number of students who were homeless was on the rise.
